Yesterday we took a little trip up to Duhok to meet Elder and Sister Carlson, Sharon Eubank and Kajal. We arrived around 5:00pm, checked into our hotel and then went to the Tiari family home for dinner and a visit.
Sister Tiari had spent so much time making us the most wonderful Middle Eastern Dinner. We were all full and happy. It was such a great sight to see so many Mormons gathered together at the Tiari's and it was all because of Hannah and her great faith, courage and patience.

After dinner Elder Carlson conducted a Sacrament Meeting for all of us. He spoke about the importance of being obedient and following the Lord even in hard times. He used the example of Lehi and his family and how Laman and Lemuel were disobedient and in the end were cast off the cursed for their disobedience. Then Elder Carlson read to us the introduction to the Book of Mormon where the promise is given to the Lamanites that their seed will be blessed if they live righteously. What a spirit was there with us as we listened and participated. It was such a blessing to have the Lord's servant with us in Duhok.
