Just the other night Christian invited us out for a special dinner at the restaurant where he works here in Kurdistan. Chris had it all planned for us and it was delightful from the drink to the desert. The starter was seafood soup. Then appetizer was tempura shrimp and chicken.
Next was the lobster sushi, yellow tail and eel.
The main corse was teriyaki stake and mixed seafood teppanyaki.
We are smiling here because we get to eat really great food.
Hard to come by in the Middle East.
The "piece de resistance" were all of the desserts. First we had banana tempura with ice cream, then separate bowls of ice cream, next plates of fruit with petit fours and hot chocolate and finally a chocolate mousse cake for Jon's birthday.
It was all spectacular and we loved everything.
Chris has found a great job here in Kurdistan and he is doing so well. He had made many friends and is loving his experience.
We are so proud of him.
