Post Christmas in DC at the Kraczeks 2013

Our newest little grand baby. Bennet is the happiest baby on earth. Born last April he has grown to be a very big healthy boy. He can crawl, pull him self to stand, take a few steps, play and feed himself. He loves is brother Evan and enjoys being part of the family. Grandpa and Grandma just loved him up.

Washington DC's national cathedral was on the itinerary for our visit this year. Officially the Cathedral Church of St. Peter and St. Paul.  Although the cathedral was built in the last century the gothic style makes it feel centuries older. The foundation stone was laid in 1907 and was completed in 1990 - 83 years later. It is the sixth largest in the world

Today, the Cathedral is called to be a spiritual home for the nation.

Next was a visit to the National Botanical Gardens to see the Christmas train exhibit.

This is a picture of the National Building Museum. They had set up for a wedding. It was beautiful and very Middle Eastern. PINK everywhere!

Grandpa and Bennet on the way to dinner.

Dinner at Founding Farmers. Amanda says it's all the rage. We had a nice American dinner. Jon had fried chicken and waffles. I had chicken pot pie.

To finish the evening we went to the Kennedy Center for a little concert on one of their side stages. Very nice.

Grandma was reading a story to Bennet and he had to look up and laugh with me. So cute.
